ABC Cleaning Services is responsible for the personal details you give us through this website. The site is built and hosted for us by MyTradeSite (run by Cornerstone Digital, a trading name of Snap Media Ltd, Poole), which stores and handles those details on our behalf and only on our instructions.

What we collect

When you ask for a quote we ask for your name and phone number, and optionally your email address, where the job is and a description of the work. If you phone or email us instead, we keep whatever you tell us so we can do the job.

This site doesn't track you. There are no analytics or advertising cookies on it. The server that shows you each page keeps a count of how many times the page was opened that day. To tell repeat views from new visitors it makes a one-way code from your connection and browser type using a random key that is thrown away the next day, so it never keeps your IP address and can't work out who you are. It also notes which website sent you here — the site's name only, such as google.com, never the page — and the daily counts are kept for 13 months. If the business opens its own site from its dashboard, a cookie is set in that browser so its own visits aren't counted; visitors never get that cookie.

What we use it for

To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote — and if you go ahead, to arrange the work, send you invoices and, once the job is done, ask you for a review. We don't use your details for anything else, and we don't sell them or pass them on for marketing.

Who else handles it

• MyTradeSite stores your enquiry in its database (hosted by Supabase) so we can see it in our dashboard.
• When you send an enquiry, ABC Cleaning Services gets an alert by email and by text message. The email goes through Resend and the message through Twilio, so your name, number and message pass through those services. Quotes, invoices and the review request are emailed to you through Resend too.
• If we use MyTradeSite's writing tools to turn our job notes into a quote, those notes — not your contact details — are processed by Anthropic.
• Some of the photos on this site are stock images loaded from Unsplash, which sees your IP address when they load.
• Like any website, the server that hosts this one keeps standard technical logs — your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type — for security only, for up to 30 days.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and the job, and for our own records afterwards — invoices have to be kept for tax purposes. If ABC Cleaning Services stops using MyTradeSite, MyTradeSite keeps what it holds on our behalf until we ask for it to be deleted. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
